Calgary Society for Mediterranean Studies

Submitted by Anonymous on Thu, 05/22/2008 - 10:08.

Please note that the Calgary Society for Mediterranean Studies has been suspended for the 2013/2014 academic year. The society will re-launch next year and offer the same sort of accessible public presentations of research from colleagues both local and from around the world.

While there will be no formal CSMS program, we will let members know regularly about public lectures on campus that we think will be of interest.

If you have any questions, please email csms@ucalgary.ca

About CSMS

A community group, sponsored by the University of Calgary, for Calgarians interested in the history and culture of the Mediterranean world.

The Calgary Society for Mediterranean Studies promotes the interest of members of the Calgary community in the history and culture of the Mediterranean world, especially during ancient, medieval and early modern times.

The activities of the Society are intended for non-specialists. The monthly lecture series and the annual colloquium include such topics as history, archaeology, politics, society art, literature, religion, environment and tourism.
